Bluefruit LE - Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) - nRF8001 Breakout
Allows you to be wirelessly linked between your Arduino and any other IOS or Any Android device of your choice, the link is created in such a secure, easy way.
How does it work? Its main concern is to send ASCI data between the devices and it does that by stimulating a UART underneath the surface.
A very interesting fact is that unlike the usual normal Bluetooth, this product doesn’t make a lot of restrictions regarding creating IOS peripherals. Also, the Android itself supports Bluetooth Low energy which then makes it considered as being a universal channel for communication.
We have a guide to help you setup your nRF8001 Bluetooth Low Energy breakout, and start using some of the sample sketches we provide with it to connect to an iOS or Android device.
We also now have an app for Android users available here!
